-
Development of a tracer tool for communication between mobile phones and the telecom infrastructure.
|
 |
|
Project Information |
Project Description |
|
Project: corrective and evolutive maintenance of an application allowing to analyse exchanges messages between mobile phones (whatever the manufacturer) and other telecom appliances. |
The tool developed picks up messages between the modules and telephone processes and thus makes tracking and debugging easier. The goal is to improve the design and facilitate the use of the tool as well as to expand the field of use (several mobile phones supported). The tool is based on QT framework and is portable on Windows and Linux.
First the team spent a month at the customer’s premises in France to get a training during on the tool’s architecture and design. The level of complexity of the solution is very high and the evolution requested by the customer is ambitious. He is very demanding, especially regarding the following aspects:
- application performance optimization
- deliveries: Best in Class Quality (0 restriction / bug)
- application endurance
- all types of tests
- documentation
This project was carried out in collaboration with the telecom team based in France and another team in India, which is in charge of developing the application plugins.

Andra (National radioactive waste management agency):
management
application of the parcels of radioactive waste
HAVL |
| June
- October 2002 |
|
Project:
realizing a management application of the parcels
of radioactive waste HAVL |
 |
| The
ANDRA, the national agency for the management
of radioactive wastes, is a public, organization,
independent from the waste generators. It
was created in 1979, and is first and foremost
an environmental protection agency for the
long term, fulfilling of three missions: |
 |
|
-
An industrial mission :
The
ANDRA manages the surface disposal Centers which
handle the short-lived LLWs and MLWs produced in
France (in other words 90% of the wastes). |
 |
-
A research mission :
The
ANDRA is in charge of the study on the possibility
of reversible or irreversible disposal for the
long-lived HLWs in deep geological repositories,
particularly thanks to the building of underground
research Laboratories. |
 |
-
An information mission :
The
ANDRA has created a national observatory in charge
of classifying and localizing all of the radioactive
wastes present in France. |
 |
In
2002, ANDRA called Pentalog High Tech to reorganize
its information system concerning the management
of the parcels classified as waste "high long
life activity" (HAVL).
Classification, localization of the parcel, decrease
of radio-nucleates constitutes the key functions
of this project. |
 |
Information
concerning these parcels, dispersed in a multitude
of Excel files, was reorganized and carried in an
Oracle base, accessible through client-server application.
This one allows the authentified users to reach
precise information quickly, to consult calculations
of decrease of activity of waste, their radiological
and chemical composition, and finally to generate
synthesis reports (Excel files).
A particular attention has been paid on the ergonomics
(arborescent presentation of the diffrent types
of nuclear waste tanks). |

| November
2002 - September 2003 |
| Project
:
realizing an Intranet management application as
part of the National Inventory of radioactive waste. |
 |
| Since
1993, Andra publishes annually in his "Observatory
Report", an exhaustive list of files descripting
all the radioactive waste listed in France. Till
this information was managed as Word files, that
was impossible to make synthesis. |
 |
In
parallel, within the framework of the law of December
1991, Andra has been taking some load, to index
the statement and the localization of all the radioactive
wastes on the national territory.
ANDRA invited Pentalog High Tech to conceive an
application meeting this double need. |
 |
| The
new application performed by Pentalog High Tech
is a double bases system :
- On the one hand an Excel file, given directly
by the producers of waste then validated by Andra.
- In addition a database accessible by an Intranet
interface, which makes possible to integrate all
the Excel files, to obtain additional information,
and to publish a certain number of reports.
Those will be used on the one hand for the future
editions of the Report of the Observatory, and
on the other hand for the report of the National
Inventory within the framework of the law of 1991. |
 |
| The
inet technology allows ANDRA to open easily a public
access to the data in a future evolution. |

| In
July 2000, a large data-processing service
company, which insured the mastery of the
project, had called for, Pentalog High Tech
team to conceive, install, deploy and launch
the production of an info-center department
adapted to the specific needs of this Kenyan
mobile phone operator.
They called upon reactive and experienced
people - as well from a technical point
of view as for their knowledge about mobile
telephony able to commit themselves

Those criteria were entirely respected by
Pentalog High Tech team. By the variety

outside users) assigns an important part of its
software and training needs to Pentalog High Tech
company. |

Project information |
Project description |
| Client:
CERIB |
This
project is about the realization of a CRM
portal and decisional applicative satellites.
Applications are distributed according to
the users' profiles. Cerib chose for this
project The Port solution, which had been
developed by Pentalog Group's software business
unit, iNet (www.inet.fr).
Besides
the development and integration opportunities
offered by The Port (creation and management
of portals), Cerib was impressed by the
immediate compatibility of the product with
its existing software park (Windows NT,
IIS, Oracle).
With
The Port, Cerib anticipates on its future
needs, reduced its development costs and
rationalizes the access to html resources,
already existing. The project was delivered
at the beginning of first quarter 2001.

| In
1999, the Industrial Division wanted a tool relating
to its main activities : Metrology and Certification
That was urgent for this leading institute to
move from its old system under DBase to an up
to date client/server platform.
The new system (Qualitix) allows supervision and
broadcasting of the documents coming from the
metrology and certification process. It gives
real time access to itinerant people.
Furthermore, the system automatically update the
Cerib website concerning the certified products.

| This
application is daily used by 30 people since the
end of 1999. |

ARVALIS - Institut du végétal (ex
ITCF - AGPM): computer
system for logistics and agronomic experiments |
| Since
November1995 |
Co-workers

Project
:
realizing a computer system for logistics and agronomic
experiments. |
 |
|
ARVALIS,
one of the French Cereal Group's member,
has for mission to work out and distribute
methods and information allowing farmers
to adapt themselves to the markets' evolution,
to remain competitive abroad and to respect
the environment.
ARVALIS has a management tool, able to present
and to treat information relative to agronomic
experiments.
Since 1995, Pentalog High Tech has designed
and performed numerous applications in the
field of experimentations management.
These applications manage complex validation
processes for agronomic tests. |
 |
|
-
Activity management
Tool
given to the protocol directors in order to planify
the testing activity. All this information is fundamental
for the other components of the application. |
 |
-
Orders management
This
application generates products and seeds order forms
according to the strategic activity. |
 |
-
Agreements' Management
ARVALIS
realizes tests for different companies. This application
manages the tests' agreements. There is a direct
link between these sub-contracting tests (activity)
and agreements. |
 |
-
Tests list
The
application " Tests' list " represents
the tests' catalogue of the application. It has
to manage two running methods (connected and disconnected).
Parameterized attributions rights are limited by
this application. It allows users to accede to the
environment of experiments' values seizing (Excel).
Writing rights are available by a token management
system. |
 |
-
The Experiments' data seizing
Using
Excel as a data seizing environment allows to increase
flexibility of data graphic representation. Administrators
set up variables in templates. Users will exploit
the published templates. Interfaces' functions are
available in order to get back data which have been
obtained in the fields by mobile terminals. This
tool integrates a statistical analysis tool (Statbox).
|
 |
-
Agronomic knowledge date base
Experiments'
data are integrated in a consultation data base.
Users can make queries and the data experiments'
results will be displayed in Excel or Access. |
 |
-
Grouping
This
tool is able to group and cross different test results
in order to propose multi test statistical analysis. |
 |
-
Infocenter
Users
are able to realize queries around all data managed
by the application. The tool allows also multi-criterion
queries. |
