People of the PentaStagiu: a new generation of competent IT professionals

Time goes so fast, so it is essential to use every minute wisely. As Pentalog is committed to helping passionate professionals in achieving their career goals, we have established a personalized program for each technology. That is exactly what we have been doing as a part of the PentaStagiu 2019 at Pentalog Delivery Centre in Iasi. How has the program been going so far?

Be Ahead of the Career Game with PentaStagiu 2019

Pentalog launched PentaStagiu in March and we have already managed to reach the 3rd out of 4 planned modules. PentaStagiu is divided into 10 separate tracks depending on the intern’s professional orientation and his/her career goals:

Each tech field had different requirements for its participants. However, some soft & hard skills always remain common for all kinds of IT specialists. These general traits define professional success and characterize our mentees:

The first 3 parts of the program consist mostly of weekly workshops, application exercises and time for self-studies. A full-time internship is the next step of the program and will represent a fantastic opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge & skills. The 1st of July will mark a new overwhelming start for our participants, as they become Pentalog interns.

Even if you don’t have a strong technical background, commitment to the program can take you far enough.

In the first place, there were 313 interns willing to come with us on this journey, and 110 persevered to stay. As we dig deeper into the IT world during our program, we start to realize that it gets more and more complex, therefore it involves a lot of effort and dedication. So, till the end, only the most determined to follow their career paths will achieve their objectives with the support from our mentors!

Learning is undoubtfully important, but enjoying the process makes it much easier to assimilate tons of information. We don’t just focus on teaching our interns tech related stuff; our goal is to help them become reliable team players.

To make sure that we create a pleasant environment for PentaStagiu people to advance their IT careers, we organized a Game Night on the 24th of May. It was an evening dedicated to relaxation that allowed everyone to network & create connections for the future.

Group games & leisure activities, in the opinion of Pentalog mentors, can help our guys & girls to get a clear understanding of what teamwork means.

Some tennis, foosball and intellectual games with good people make up an excellent evening. Even the thunderstorm outside couldn’t stop us! Our future Pentaguys&Pentagirls spent some quality time together.

Finding a matching IT position made easy

On the 13th of June one of our SkillValue colleagues from Iasi revealed the secret to successful employment in the IT sector. Young people passionate about IT found out tips & tricks they should follow in order to get an ideal position for them.

SkillValue HR expert shared with participants of PentaStagiu secrets to landing a job they’re qualified for.

Our experienced HR shared what kind of CVs are appreciated by companies. She also presented the Anatomy of a Great Resume in addition to interview tips. As a part of the session, our IT enthusiasts found out some key steps any young professionals can follow that will make job interviews a less stressful activity.

Agile Methodologies: A Game-Changer for any IT professional

Scrum Framework Workshop by a Product Owner from Pentalog Iasi will mark the last week of June. Our speaker will make an introduction into the basics of the Scrum, a popular Agile framework that helps teams work together in the most efficient way, Pentalog PO will also present Agile Ceremonies in the simplest way possible.

We know what we’re talking about as Pentalog team swears by the Agile methodology. Our teams have been working in an Agile environment for 13 years and all this time we’ve been helping our clients to become agile. Now it’s novices’ turn!
