Loading...This year, June has a special place in my heart: Pentalog Cluj turns 10. It’s also my tenth year with Pentalog — what a ride it’s been!
I’m talking about a decade filled with incredible memories and achievements and I’m grateful to all the colleagues who helped turn this dream into a reality.
How are we doing? After the challenges of 2020, Pentalog Cluj’s revenue has grown 20% so far this year. Going forward, we have big plans for our Cluj office, which has emerged as a vibrant component of this dynamic Romania software hub.
My colleagues deserve a big round of applause for their hard work and unconditional dedication. Congratulations to you for being a part of the journey!
Ten years ago, I was among the first hired at Pentalog Cluj. The other four guys and I got together every day in an office where we could play football during the breaks! With the help of our CEO, Frederic Lasnier, we set off on to make Pentalog Cluj a robust delivery center staffed with talented coders.
Our first mission was to support a European leader in online dating to expand his market in other countries and help grow the business. Meetic became one of our long-lasting clients, one for which we ramped up our largest development team – approximately 40 persons!
By June 2021, we had built a growing team of 150 developers with extensive experience in nearly all popular web and software technologies, such as JavaScript (React.js, Node.js, and Angular), mobile technologies, but also Python, PHP, .NET, etc.
Over the years, we’ve delivered more than 90 projects and 280 events and worked with major clients and Unicorn companies in MedTech, e-Commerce, Travelling, FinTech, Education, Media, Cryptocurrency, and many more.

Our team in Cluj is tech versatile and experienced in working directly for global brands in the US, UK, France, Germany and Canada. Some 80% of our developers have more than 5 years of experience, and 20% have over 8 years of experience.
To sustain the high growth rate and keep up with the trends, we promote a variety of learning opportunities to advance the professional success of our team.

Coravin – For this US ecommerce company, we overhauled their IT infrastructure to increase efficiency and implemented tools to boost marketing automation with a particular focus on measuring the efficiency throughout the entire buyer’s journey.
Wikifolio – When Europe’s leading social trading platform sought to boost acceleration and extend their team, a dedicated Pentalog team improved existing features and added new modules to the platform – all while keeping an already existing product on the market.
PlayBac – One of the top publishers for youth in France wanted to revamp their four websites. Pentalog developed a platform to accommodate all versions of the website, and successfully delivered the products, while also accelerating the client’s digital transformation.

As we count the blessings of a smart, close-knit team, a supportive work environment and a range of great clients, we’re also planning our next steps. Of course, we’d like to meet you in person, at our new office in Cluj, but since the health crisis is not over yet, there’s flexibility regarding the work style. So, our job offers are both on-site and remote. What counts more is to have similar values and the desire to innovate.
We have adapted as remote work became “the new normal” and we already think about setting up a hybrid style to accommodate all needs and overcome unpredictable situations.
