The French IT outsourcing company, leader of the offshore-nearshore R&D in the European Union, reaches an organic growth of around 24% in the first quarter of 2012. Once again, it is the sales achieved outside France, in particular in Switzerland and Germany, that account for this achievement. The French group based in Orleans indeed continues to increase its production capacities for the first economy in Europe and is investing on ever larger businesses within the country.France is very active when it comes to new customers at this beginning of the year. Pentalog indeed enjoys new commercial relations with very dynamic young companies, in the field of web and health, which represents a potential growth sector newly identified by Pentalog. First, in the web, operations start with the European leader of web browsers dedicated to the electronic commerce, that we had to endow with state-of-the art algorithmic capacities. This new customer shall be welcome in our premises in Cluj. The second French customer deals with medical imagery, i.e. interpretation of images. It is the Sibiu site, particularly at the cutting edge in the scientific and technical domains, that carries out the operations.

Worldwide, our clients continue to signal the difficulty of finding resources and use the European nearshore in order to deal with a lack of workforce rather than to reduce costs. 2012 looks well for Pentalog, despite the foreseeable reduction of some great productions during the year in telecom. The organic growth could drop a little in Q2 reaching around 15%. There are consistent sales figure opportunities for the end of the year. The Group should materialize them by the end of Q2.

The workforce shall reach 730 persons at the end of the first quarter.

Pentalabbs, Pentalog’s incubator and laboratory of ideas has received a new start up in January, thus recording 5 assisted projects and 45 employees employed collectively. Their growth rate varies between 50 to 150% from one year to the other. This growth is not taken into account when calculating the quarterly performance of the group.
