OuR client is looking for an excellent Python Developer with a keen interest and understanding of cloud architecture and a broad range of technical skills. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the full scrum team and stakeholders to develop and maintain the backend services to support both mobile and web-based frontend applications. As well as developing and maintaining the downstream data processing and aggregation pipeline.

Job requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in Python and other programming languages,
  • Professional expertise in AWS cloud services,
  • Proficient in the Python programming language,
  • Expertise in working with relational databases, such as MySQL, 
  • Professional experience in developing RESTful web services and working with JSON and/or XML,
  • Familiarity with automated testing,
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git or SVN,
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies,
  • Familiarity with issue/project tracking software, such as Jira,
  • Ability to produce clear and informative documentation,
  • Enthusiastic and proactive attitude, with a focus on getting tasks completed,
  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical colleagues,
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team,
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, including the ability to diagnose issues in complex systems,
  • Very good English language skills. 

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency in the JavaScript programming language,
  • Proficiency in no-SQL databases, such as DynamoDB,
  • Comfortable with Unix core command line tools like "find," "grep," "awk," etc, 
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools,
  • Knowledge of CI/CD workflows,
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Responsibilities

  • Creating the foundational software infrastructure that supports our end-to-end solutions,
  • Building connections between our internal systems and external servers,
  • Providing input and shaping the software strategy and architecture of the company,
  • Engaging with customers to understand their requirements,
  • Collaborating with diverse teams to design, develop, and deliver robust backends and data platforms that fulfill client needs,
  • Participating in thorough code and design reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high-quality code standards,
  • Testing and troubleshooting data collection and processing platforms to guarantee their performance, stability, and security,
  • Continuously exploring and adopting new technologies and techniques to stay current with industry trends,
  • Contributing to brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
